A musician, a friend of our son and before I could introduce myself said, “You are the pianist’s father.” We look at our second son and we see my father walking. I attended a birthday party of my mother’s family and the shape of my head betrayed me instantly. It is a fact that resemblance is passed on. It repeats itself constantly.
The amazing thing is that events also resemble and reappear. They are like a road map or a script that helps predict the future. However, it is far more accurate. For instance, the abomination in the Book of Daniel was a defamation of the Hebrew religion under the Syrians, the Romans and in our time the Nazis. The Book of Revelation discloses a similar activity against Christians. There were seven historical Churches that were persecuted when they began and that persecution has been intensified and repeated throughout the last two thousand years. The resemblance is even more acute among the forces that seek to destroy the Hebrew-Christian influence in the world and in particular the “Person and Mission of Christ.” For instance, the “Seventh Day” is the Lord’s and so is everything good. The 666 represent the forces against the seven. It is not just one system, but as many as 666 that lived by hate and conquest. Everything in their way that was disagreeable was eliminated. Whenever one of these systems is wounded, it heals and reappears or resurrects elsewhere (Revelation 13:3-4). The leaders of such systems are held in high esteem in the world. They border on being saviors. We are going through such a period, hoping that our nation’s wound will heal and recover.
Jesus is hated the most because He has been and He continues to be in the way of these evil powers. In Revelation, Chapter six, the Lamb (Jesus) opens the seals and discloses what “Evil” has in mind. There is absolutely no mystery how it manages the world. All rulers, even the good ones, resort to similar managing techniques; namely, the horse and the sword. The two resemble power and superiority. The rider on the white horse is the ungodly or false, but humane leader that shall rule the world towards the end. By then, many nations shall resemble Babylon. There shall come a final system that could resemble the United Nations? This Babylon will be taken over by the rider on a black horse and after he has forced equalization (religious and political) on the world, starvation will bring in the rider on the pale horse. Death and Hell will follow this rider and the Christians will be blamed for the world’s problems and those that shall remain loyal to the Lamb shall be slaughtered. God shall continue to be merciful to the world until the last soul for Christ has been sacrificed by “Evil” (Revelation 6:9-11).
The sixth seal or disclosure is God’s intervention. The genuine and godly Ruler on the white horse will take over and dispose of the evil horses and powers and of the earth, as we know it. He created the world by the Word and He will end it by the Word (John 1:1-3; Revelation 19:11-21). Prior to that, “Evil” will wipe out one third of humanity and most of Christianity by annihilation (Revelation 9:15). There will occur cosmic convulsion and all that were against the Lamb (Christ) shall call on the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!” It is no surprise why non-Christians and even many Christians do not take the Book of Revelation serious. Its predictions resemble too closely the events in history and those that are taking place in our time.
