In the eyes of the Creator, we are all equal; but not in what we make of ourselves and what we accomplish in life. I was introduced to equalization when the state took over our property and turned it into one huge collective farm. Our parents had purchased the property with cash and father had a profitable blacksmith shop. Under the new system, our property became a loss to the state. The cash that was confiscated did not last long. The few nobles and rich people were also deprived of their holdings and lives. The income from these properties diminished and the state became bankrupt and lived on borrowed money and handouts from beneficial nations. After World War II, the system sustained itself by depleting the resources of countries the system had occupied. My eyes have seen the makeup of the Russian army in October 1939 and the one in June 1945, dressed like Americans and equipped with American weapons. I have seen cities in shambles, after the Kremlin perpetrators went home to their bankrupt country. That is one picture I have of what equalization via the sword means.
