Northwest of Eden # 1 – IS IT HARVEST TIME?

The clock of history is ticking toward a time for harvesting the Northwest of Eden or the U.S.A.  Jesus’ prediction was:  “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.  People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark.  Then the flood came and destroyed them all” (Lk. 17:26-27). “Learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.  Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.  I tell you the truth this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.  Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Mt. 24:32-35). The fig tree is Israel.  In A.D. 70, the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the nation of Israel (Mt. 24:1-2).  In A.D. 666, the man that will form a system that will be mortal to Jews and Christians began to trample on Jerusalem for 1290 years (Dan. 12”11).  Israel was reborn in A.D. 1948 and is no longer being trampled on.  A world organization called “Babylon” is in place and it assists the forming of the ten nations that will become strong enough to destroy Babylon and attempt to wipe out Israel and Christianity.  One third of humanity will be killed before Christ’s return and his allies will destroy the forces of Antichrist (Rev. 17-19).  It will be incomprehensible that the “Land of the Eagle” or the “Free and the Brave” will be fated along with Babylon (Rev. 17:17).  The same cause and effect of sin that began in Adam has had its impact on Noah’s generation and on every generation into our time.  Biblical prophecy was and still is a warning of the consequences of moral decay.  Humans have attempted to soften the consequence of sin with grace and unconditional love that Christ could provide have had the contrary effect on human behavior.  In fact, it has become a license to perpetuate sin and turn it into a normal form of a human condition and behavior.  Christ, Himself, did not believe that humans would change much (Lk. 18:8).
The writers of the Bible had a far clearer view of cause and effect than we do, because we are obsessed with the effect and not with the cause.  We have long lost the root of the cause.  Our problem does not begin with effects, but with rejecting and disobeying principles that preserve and not destroy.  In essence, it began as an act that defied the Creator’s rules to maintain order and harmony in the world.  Adam and Eve stepped outside God’s law and all of humanity has continued to walk in their path that has led away from what is good toward what appears as good but is evil.  The first couple knew they had left God’s world and their children began to appease God with sacrifices.  They build altars for sacrificing even humans that in time became idols and shrines.  Abel’s bloody sacrifice was more acceptable than Cain’s grain.  That was the first conflict over a sacrifice of acceptance.  It became a blueprint for pleasing a God or gods.  To define the Creator, the writers of Genesis used the plural “Elohim” instead of “El.”  The Gods, more than one, made everything.  One of the Gods said, “Let ‘us’ make man in our image.” When we come to Abraham, he honored Melchizedek priest of “God Most High.” To the descendants of Abraham, He became “The God of our fathers.” To Moses God was “I AM.”  These consonants became holy and unspeakable.  However, with the formation of vowels, the name “Yahweh” emerged.  Jesus spoke only of “His” and our heavenly “Father.”  At best, man can only deduct from Creation and miraculous phenomena what God could be like.  He was “El Elyon” or the Exalted One,” “El Olam,” the Eternal One and “El Roi,” the All – Seeing One.  He was specifically “El Elohe – Israel,” the God of Israel and the “El Berith” or their God of the Covenant.  He could be worshipped on “El Shaddai,” a mountain or in “El Bethel,” a place.  King David moved Yahweh worship to Jerusalem.  In Jesus’ day, the Jews worshipped in Jerusalem and the Samaritans on a mountain.  Very much like the Gentiles, Yahweh had become a national and localized deity.  It should not surprise us that everything God did and does was in the interest of Israel and then the Christians.  Islam defined God as being even more restricted and uncompromising.  It has been and is a continual hassle over God between the followers of Isaac and Ishmael.  It is prophecy in the process of being fulfilled.
Prophecy is no more than cause and effect.  The act of injustice and inhumane treatment of Hagar and her son by Sarah and Abraham have caused this endless hostility between brothers.  Mistakes are sin and sin does not end without consequences.  Without interference from a neutral power like the United Nations, the two mortal enemies kept each other at bay by the sword.  Now, that Babylon (UN) assists Muslim nations to choose their independence and destiny, we are moving rabidly toward Armageddon.  This movement is motivated by the return of the Muslim Christ (Imam) with the purpose to destroy Israel and the White Serpent (U.S.A.).  The major showdown shall take place in the land of the Free and the Brave or what I call the land Northwest of Eden or North America.  The first of two final showdowns shall be between a secular political world system identified as Babylon (seat of many nations) and a religious consolidation of ten powerful nations.  It does not take a genius to identify a city with access by water and air to the nations of the world.  Christianity, itself, is far too divided and too secular to figure as being one of the systems in the first showdown where one third of humanity shall be annihilated.  The Book of Revelation however, hints at a second showdown.  Again, it is not Christianity against another religion like Islam.  Rather, it is a powerful nation that has become very tolerant toward Christians that the God of Israel and the followers of Jesus will employ to eliminate the enemies of Christ, both secular and religious.  Another third of humanity will join the dead and wait for judgment day.  It will take a thousand years for the earth to recover from the two cosmic devastations.  It is horrifying even to think that America shall have caused her own demise and with her all that depended on her.  It began while we were asleep that our enemies scattered their weeds (Mt. 13:24-30).  How ripe is the earth?  According to Revelation 14, the time to reap is near and the fig tree in the U.S.A. is in full bloom.
