Mark Twain was asked what the world would be like without women and he replied with one word: “Scares.” An absurd question does not require an explanation, neither does it grant man the right to blame women for man’s failure to resist temptation. God, deliberately made women beautiful so that they can attract their men for life! And also teach man to resist temptation. However, more significantly, the women were needed to redeem their men, like the mother of Moses and the mother of Jesus. Paul was unfair to Eve! And Paul was too generous and too dramatic with Sarah, who persecuted Hagar; yet, Sarah’s words became Scriptures for Paul (Genesis 21:11-13). The editor of Genesis believed that Sarah acted under Yahweh's direction when she demanded that Abraham dismiss Hagar. Paul writes about women:

Restoring God’s Image and Likeness in Man
In 63 BC, it appeared that the Pharisees had won out, but the actual credit for saving Jerusalem from being destroyed, went to Antipater, the Idumean, the father of Herod the Great. Rome was very generous with her friends and Antipater had been mainly responsible for opening the gates to the Romans. At that time, Antipater was the power behind Hyrcanus and the Pharisees. Antipater had a clear head at a time when it was most needed. The Herods owe their rise to power to the blunderings of the Hasmoneans and the Pharisees. The Hasmoneans, themselves, were weakened when they divided into Jewish Orthodoxy and Syrian Hellenism. The Hellenized priests drove the Jewish Orthodox followers of Onias into the desert. In the desert, the Orthodox Jews became the Qumran people. The Qumran people also were destroyed by the Romans. At this time, Rome was being shaken by frequent changes among Caesars. And Judea showed a tiny flicker of hope. That hope came from Aristobulus II, and his brother Hyrcanus II.

Exodus, chapters thirty and chapter thirty-one, concluded the lengthy instructions on burned offerings, oils, and spices. God even chose the people to whom the task of building the worship center were given. The instructions ended with keeping the Sabbath. The Sabbath was not just a day of rest, but the Sabbath was a "remembrance day" that the “Majesty and Might of God” made the world in six days. Israel was not to forget God --- Israel was to remember their "deliverance from slavery" every week. Yet, after only forty days, Israel could not even remember God.

The ordinances, the instructions, the explanations on the Law and the Ten Commandments continue. They were very specific!
The Covenant is God’s Will for Man
The purpose for a center of worship was to remember and to continually reaffirm the "Covenant" by reciting the Law and the ordinances of God. The tent of the tabernacle was equipped with a "holy of holy place" where only the high priest could enter. Then there were areas with altars where designated priests could serve the consecrated its members. And there also was a courtyard where even the outsiders could worship. In a way, the tabernacle was one of the wonders of the world. And later, under Solomon, the tabernacle became "the temple" in Jerusalem.
