Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 4:1) made this prediction about his nation, “In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, ‘We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace.”‘ It was not about polygamy but about reproduction. Wars had taken the males that reproduced. And because of it, Isaiah’s nation died. That part of Israel, or the Ten Tribes, was annihilated. Jeremiah had a similar prediction about Judah or Jerusalem (Jeremiah 31:15). “A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are nor more.”

We are an advanced civilization – at least we think we are. We have progressed with “Sperm Banks.” Women no longer need man to reproduce. We can afford to abort babies and sacrifice our youth to the gods of war, or can we? The wise Salomon believed that children were the crown and pride of their parents and the nation (Proverbs 17:6). He had watched his father David deplete the young men through wars. Then he took a thousand wives to replenish the nation. His idol was king Lamuel, who assigned the greatest honor to mothers (Proverbs 31:28). Prosperity or economics was a direct result of many children and so was morality or a way of life. The ancients knew that the demise of the children and the youth spelled the end of a people or a nation.

If we presume that this is an ancient idea, then I would remind us that not too long ago Europe and America sacrificed many young people to the gods of war. In January 1945, I was fourteen and the Germans tried to turn me into a soldier. By then, most young men, two years older than I were in the army and more than half of them had died. Then a bad economy forced birth control on our civilized nations. When the economy improved, unions stepped in and forced those that provided jobs out of their countries or employed foreign laborer for lower wages. Brilliant China instituted a one-child policy and ended up with too many boys. They solved the problem with Muslim women. By the way, all my cousins in East Germany had one child. Since the reunification they have more but not as many as Muslims have. Russia is begging mothers to have more children and the state is willing to pay like Canada. Unfortunately, it is too little and too late. The white race is on the way of becoming an endangered species.

Will America awaken and see the hand of her own demise? How can our progressive leaders not notice that they are walking in the footprints of a dying Europe? Europe has been a roadmap of how not to do things. Yet, our progressive pride insists that we can succeed where others failed. The evidence is against us. We are sacrificing our destiny to abortion, birth control, and war. What progressivism has done to this nation is irreversible. No one can replace human life. The nation or people that have that insight will inherit this land. America is also known for acting quickly and fast, not necessarily efficiently. It can speed things up and shrink time. It too is an obvious sign that this nation may precede Europe in death. If my thoughts seem presumptuous then listen to our President and take note of how he sees and uses the USA in his attempt to become a world leader? Also take to heart what Jesus said to a people that were facing what we are facing. “If a blind man leads a blind man, both fall into a pit” (Matthew 15:14). What is blinding our President and those that endorse that is evidently fatal to the nation? Is it Islam or progressivism?
